If you use TpT, you need to know about TpT credits. You can essentially earn 5%+ back on every TpT purchase and apply those earned credits towards future TpT purchases. But, the vast majority of buyers on TpT are completely missing out on earning and using credits.
Every purchase on TpT is eligible for credits that can be applied to any future TpT purchase. To get these credits, you must leave reviews on products you have purchased. For each dollar spent on any TpT product, you will earn 5¢ for your review. TpT rounds up from 50¢, so if you bought something that cost $2.75, you would earn 15¢ as though you spent $3.
How to Leave Reviews on Purchased Products
On your TpT dashboard, hover your mouse over your name to bring up a menu of options. Click “My Purchases” to get to the screen that shows all of your previous purchases.
This will take you to a list of all of your purchased items. Each item that has a blue “Leave a Review” button can be reviewed. You’ll select how many stars out of five you want to give, and you’ll be able to leave a comment. It’s always nice to leave a comment that other buyers might find helpful.
How to Find and Use Your Credits
To find how much you’ve earned through your reviews, click on “Account Balance” on your dashboard by hovering over your name again. This will show you how much money you have to apply towards your next purchase.
To apply these credits towards your next purchase, add items to your cart then click on “Use Account Balance” which is located right under the checkout button in your cart. You can enter the amount you would like to use then click “Apply.”
TpT credits are a great way to get yourself products you need for your classroom at a discount or even for free. It’s estimated that only 1 out of 10 teachers buying things on TpT leave reviews, so that’s a LOT of money left on the table that could be used to support classrooms!
