I love finding novel ways of reviewing content and practicing MCQs for AP World History. Recently, I’ve started using Google Sheets activities as a way to create interactive worksheets. With the mystery picture reveal activities, I can both review content and sneak in a couple stimulus-based MCQs for a quick but impactful assignment that students haven’t seen before.

The mystery reveal shown below is from Unit 7 Global Conflict and you can see the activity here.

Here’s how the sheet works:

Once the final image is fully revealed, you’ll use it as your stimulus for the included 3 MCQs. These come on separate PDF (not shown here in order to preserve the integrity of the questions) which also contains the source information. The full image on this particular activity is this:

Keep the image displayed and pass out the MCQs for a quick practice! This is a super easy way to review content and sneak in a little exam practice all while having your students amazed at what you can do with a spreadsheet!! I include at least one of these in each unit of my AP World Curriculum.
